General Family

Through our general and family dental services we aim to help our patients develop and maintain the best possible oral health. From a routine exam for a small child to a more complicated procedure like being fitted for new dentures, we put your smile first. Your Doctor’s number one priority is to offer a comprehensive set of services designed to meet each patient’s unique needs.

We recommend that our patients make an appointment to visit us at least every six months. These routine dental check-ups allow us to thoroughly clean your teeth and then examine them for signs of decay and other dental issues. Some patients may require more frequent visits, depending on their individual needs.

At Greenway Family Dental we subscribe to the notion that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Visiting us regularly helps us keep your smile in good condition and can prevent us from having to take drastic measures to save your smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Imperfections in your teeth can be the cause of shame and embarrassment, pain and consternation. That’s why Greenway Family Dental is proud to offer a wide range of cosmetic options, from porcelain veneers to teeth whitening. With all of the advancements in dental technology, improving your smile is a relatively simple endeavor. Your Doctor will work with you to individualize your experience and help you create the smile you’ve been dreaming of.

Some people view cosmetic dentistry as expensive, and that means they do not fully consider it. At Greenway Family Dental, we work to keep our pricing fair and competitive. In addition, we are open extended hours to make getting work done on your smile more convenient.

Keeping your gums healthy is key to retaining your teeth. If your gums are less than healthy, they become less able to hold your teeth in place. At Greenway Family Dental, we want to help you preserve and protect your gums. We also provide treatment and intervention when your gums become compromised.

At Greenway Family Dental, we are dedicated to helping you create and maintain good oral health. To that end, we are vigilant about evaluating your gum health and treating your gingivitis if necessary.

If we find gingivitis, your Doctor and their team will employ a technique called root planing and scaling to clear bacteria from your gum line, helping you to preserve your teeth and a healthy smile.

We also encourage you to come in twice a year for cleanings that will help us keep your teeth clear of plaque, which is the primary cause of gingivitis.

Teeth Whitening

Maybe you’ve noticed that confident people tend to smile a lot. Maybe you’d like to be that person, the one who laughs and smiles freely. If you’ve been embarrassed by your teeth, you may have gradually come to smile less. Yellow or stained teeth can make you feel like you want to hide your smile.

Over time, most of us experience a dulling in the color of our teeth. This happens because of the types of food and drink we consume, including coffee, tobacco, tea, wine, even chocolate. Changing your smile with teeth whitening is a relatively simple process, but one that can provide dramatic results.

Many people attempt to whiten their teeth at home with over-the-counter toothpaste and kits. Generally, the results are nothing to write home about. If you’ve tried these methods and felt discouraged by the lack of results, we recommend coming into Greenway Family Dental for an in-office whitening treatment.

If you experience pain due to an injury to your mouth, that’s a dental emergency. When it comes to your teeth, you want to be extra careful and respond quickly when there’s an issue. At Greenway Family Dental we offer extended hours, and we urge you to call us immediately if you believe you are experiencing a dental emergency.

If your tooth or teeth have been damaged, proper and timely treatment is of the utmost importance. That’s because your teeth and gums are made up of living tissue which can deteriorate or be compromised if the issue is ignored.

In addition, if you lose a filling or a crown, we will want to treat you as soon as possible. Without the filling or crown, the tooth stands unprotected and is vulnerable to more damage.

Porcelain Veneers

At Greenway Family Dental we always encourage our patients to take good care of their teeth, through regular brushing and flossing and coming in for routine cleanings and exams. However, even if you have extremely good oral hygiene, you may not be thoroughly pleased with your smile.

Modern dental technology provides many wonderful options to help patients improve the look of their teeth. If you have teeth that are chipped, misshapen, or discolored, or have other visible irregularities, we recommend dental veneers.

For some, teeth whitening or getting a crown may not be the right choice. Porcelain veneers offer an alternative solution to improving the appearance of your smile. Unlike teeth whitening, veneers don’t remove stains. Instead, they cover your teeth.

Veneers can also be used to hide gaps, uneven teeth, or irregularly-shaped teeth. The veneers are bonded to your teeth, making them a great solution for improving your smile.

Root Canals

Root canals are one of the most common dental procedures that occur in the U.S. That’s because they are a simple and effective way to save your original teeth and preserve your smile. If you have a tooth that has severe decay or is deeply infected, you may want to consider having a root canal procedure.

Inside your tooth, there is a soft substance called pulp. There is also a nerve which allows you to feel sensations. If your tooth has become so compromised that the pulp becomes exposed, you risk infection. If you have a deep cavity or a fracture in your tooth, bacteria then invades it and causes the infection. Left untreated, the infection may cause a painful abscess.

Saving your tooth through root canal therapy is a wise choice that can result in many advantages. Most likely, you will be able to eat your food more easily with more efficient chewing. You’ll also restore your bite and likely improve the appearance of your smile. In addition, once your tooth is fixed, this protects the rest of your teeth from extra wear and strain.

Dental Crowns

Broken, chipped, or discolored teeth can severely affect your self-confidence. You may worry that others are focusing on your less-than-perfect smile. At Greenway Family Dental, we have a simple solution that can greatly improve your smile and even boost your self esteem. We offer dental crowns or dental “caps” that will help conceal your smile imperfections.

A dental crown can provide reinforced strength and fortified protection to your damaged tooth. It can also significantly improve the appearance of a tooth that has been broken, chipped, or discolored.

If you grind your teeth during sleep or have broken, chipped, or discolored teeth, you may be a good candidate for receiving a dental crown. If you’ve had a root canal, you may also need a crown. Crowns are an affordable way to replace and restore your damaged tooth.

Sleep Apnea

Most of us know from experience how important it is to get a good night’s rest. But if you or your partner struggles with sleep apnea, that may not be happening on a regular basis. At Greenway Family Dental, we’re able to offer solutions to your sleep apnea issues.

People with sleep apnea experience constant interruptions to their sleep. This is because their throat muscles relax so much that the muscles block the airway. When that happens, the person suffering from sleep apnea will often wake with a jolt.

Even if they don’t notice the waking, constantly being pulled from deep, restful sleep means that the next day they will feel tired or listless.

If you think you or a loved one may be experiencing the effects of sleep apnea, we can help. Greenway Family Dental provides initial screenings to our patients and then we can refer you to a physician for a sleep test.

Dental Implants & Dentures

If you’ve lost a tooth due to an injury, decay, or an accident, you might be a good candidate for a dental implant. Dental implants can help restore your smile and your self-confidence. Our Doctors and the team here at Greenway Family Dental have performed many dental implant procedures and we have the knowledge and skill to help you regain your confident smile.

A dental implant is a small metal post that is inserted into your jaw. This implant then acts as your tooth’s root and stabilizes the crown, bridge, denture or other prosthesis used to replace your tooth or teeth.

Dental implants are very popular since they feel almost like your natural teeth. With an implant, your teeth look natural and they function almost as well as real teeth. For a consultation with one of our qualified doctors, call us today.

TMJ/TMD Treatment

Have you noticed your jaw clicks or that it’s uncomfortable when you eat? Do you suffer from chronic headaches or jaw pain? If you are experiencing these symptoms, we can help. Greenway Family Dental offers TMJ therapy for our patients suffering from aching jaw muscles.

TMJ stands for “temporomandibular joint,” the delicate joint that connects your lower jaw to your head. This joint is a complicated network of nerves and ligaments. When it is not properly aligned, discomfort occurs.

If you grind your teeth at night or clench your jaw regularly, you could be damaging important joints and you may eventually experience TMD. In addition, a blow to your jaw or a whiplash injury can often cause TMD.

Similarly, opening your mouth too wide can tear your ligaments and cause dislocation. Some patients simply have a misaligned bite which causes their TMD. Whatever the reasons for your TMD, we can help.
